Introducing TEAMS ENTERPRISE

TEAMS Enterprise was born from a need to provide a good quality asbestos management system to enterprise class clients.

TEAMS Enterprise is a platform that has been in the making since TEAMS (the industry standard asbestos management platform for asbestos consultancies) was in its infancy. It offers an infinitely scalable asbestos management solution for end users powered by the largest connected network of independent asbestos consultancies up and down the UK.

By using TEAMS Enterprise as your management solution, asbestos consultancies can supply you with high quality asbestos data directly without the need for data manipulation, export routines and data mapping and translation exercises.

Why is TEAMS ENTERPRISE different

For many years, the asbestos data management space has been occupied by large asset management platforms offering space management, facilities management, workflows and alike. Asbestos is typically just another one of these modules.

With TEAMS Enterprise, the main focus is very much on asbestos and solving this data management once and for all.

TEAMS Enterprise rests on the mature and trusted TEAMS structure and its supporting framework. This leverages nearly 10 years’ worth of industry experience and knowledge including many industry specific principles relating to best practises and data auditing.

It also makes use of other TEAMS own technologies including full interconnectivity with the TEAMS network of consultancies for surveying and analytical works, as well as TEAMS powered laboratories for sample analysis.

Centrally stored and accessible asbestos data

We hear a lot that end users want more control over their asbestos data. Obviously this data needs to be collected, collated and verified by suitably accredited and reliable asbestos consultancies, but once complete, many end users are then looking to take ownership of this data but lack a system with capable means to store and manage this in.

This is where TEAMS Enterprise comes in. Based on TEAMS software itself, the TEAMS Enterprise platform was designed to receive, store and then share this valuable and important data.

Example #1. The first survey

The first example here shows data being collected for a brand new survey. Initially the appointment is set-up by the consultancy and this instruction to survey is sent to the surveyor in the field. The surveyor performs the work on site collecting survey data, samples and photographs. This is then transferred back to the consultancy for processing into the final reports.

Once approved with TEAMS, this data is automatically transferred to the Enterprise server where it is stored and made available to users via the TEAMS portal facility.

Example #2. The reinspection scenario

The second example here shows a reinspection scenario where historic data already exists for the site with TEAMS Enterprise and a chosen consultancy is instructed by their client to reinspect the site and update the asbestos register. In this scenario, the appointment is set-up the consultancy and this instruction to survey is sent to the surveyor in the field as normal. At this point, the tablet device reads this instruction and pulls data directly from the TEAMS Enterprise server where the data is held. The survey is completed on site utilising this existing data, and any new data added accordingly. This is transferred as normal to the consultancy for processing and approved.

Upon approval, this data is returned to the Enterprise server automatically and in turn all of the downloaded data is updated based on this latest visit.

What happens next?

As your data is centrally stored within TEAMS Enterprise, you are in control of it. This not only allows you to open up access to this data to your own staff and contractors, but also to consultancies that are connected to the TEAMS network. This proves vital when updating sites via reinspection programmes or accepting new data for new surveys.

If you currently contract with a number of different consultancies at the same time, then sites and data can be made available to multiple parties at the same time with each job effortlessly tracked to the original supplier.

Based on this, the general premiss of TEAMS Enterprise is a single one; "RECEIVE. STORE. SHARE.".

Introducing RECEIVE, STORE and SHARE

The general premiss of TEAMS Enterprise is a simple one; "RECEIVE. STORE. SHARE.".

Enterprise wants to RECEIVE data for you from the asbestos consultancies you contract with. Enterprise wants to STORE this important information safely and securely in a propose built system which you control. Enterprise wants to give you the ability to SHARE this information with your workforce, your contractors and anyone you see fit to issue access to.

RECEIVE

Data from asbestos consultancies is collected in the field. For reinspection works, original data is pulled directly from your TEAMS Enterprise server to the surveyor’s mobile unit for updating.

Once the survey is complete, data is sent to the surveyor’s TEAMS system for collating and approval.

On approval, the data is transmitted automatically to the end users TEAMS Enterprise server.

STORE

On arrival, this data is stored on the Enterprise server and notification is send to the user that the data for the site has arrived.

SHARE

The data is immediately published to the TEAMS Enterprise portal system and ready to be viewed and consumed by users and contractors alike.

Integrating TEAMS Enterprise with 3rd party systems

TEAMS has a very long history of working with partners to share data between different systems, and with TEAMS Enterprise, our tool kit has been extended to make this even easier.

We maintain a number of different APIs and web services that can allow your data to be pushed, pulled or polled from TEAMS Enterprise to your existing 3rd party systems as quickly and as easily as possible.

Where a full data exchange it not required and systems simply need to hand over to TEAMS Enterprise, smart links can be created and embedded into your applications which direct the user into the TEAMS Enterprise portal system at the correct level (whether that be site, room or item) for them to gain access to the information they require. This method allows for very little coding, but achieves instant results in terms of delivering data to the end user.
